Purton and Lydiard Charity Fund Visit (Apr 2007)
A member of the the Purton and Lydiard Charity Fund visited to tell us about their work and about charities and volunteering in general. It was a very interesting and informative talk, with activities for the Scouts to do as well.
At the end of the talk, we presented the fund with a cheque for £50.00, from our fundraising for Children In Need earlier in the year. Each year some of the money we raise for this national effort goes towards a local charity.
