FireworksAnnual Fireworks Spectacular
2010's Spectacular will be held on Saturday 6th November. Further details will be available nearer the time, but the information from 2009 (below) is still broadly relevant.
We invite you to join us at Lydiard Park for our annual Firework and Bonfire Spectacular, to be held this year on Saturday 7th November 2009.
The Details....
- Entry Fee: £6 Adult £3 Child (3-14 years) - tickets only available at the gate
- Free car parking on site (vehicles via Hook Street only - no vehicular access via the conference centre road)
- Gates open at 5:30pm
- Easy pedestrian access via Lydiard Park - please consider walking as you will be able to exit the park a lot quicker after the event has ended
- Bonfire lit at 6:00pm
- Fireworks scheduled for 7pm. Please allow enough time to enter the event before the display begins!
- Entertainment during the evening
- Various refreshment stalls
Sparkler Safety... Please leave all your own fireworks and sparklers at home! This is to ensure your own and other's safety whilst in the park. The use of fireworks and sparklers at the event is not allowed.

Please bear in mind when waiting for a response that the Fireworks committee will be very busy in the weeks leading up to the event, and that no one will be available on the Saturday of the event due to the set up.

About the Event
The display is run by Swindon and North Wiltshire Scouts. 1st Purton and Lydiard Scout Group oversee the organisation of the event.
It is one of the two largest Firework and Bonfire events in the Swindon area and takes place annually.
The display is designed and fired by members of a team that came second in the 2007 British Firework Display Championships.
