Hospice Bat Boxes (Mar 2010)
On Saturday 8th May, 3 Cubs represented the Pack by attending the Hospice to hand over a cheque for £75 from our Christmas entertainments night. We also took the 3 bat boxes that we made in February to be sited in the Hospice wild garden.They were postioned so the bats could gain easy access to them and facing in 'southerly' positions which they prefer! We were also shown the habit of a new animal that had made a home in the garden - we just weren't sure what, a fox or maybe a badger? The bluebells planted in October were also just begining to shoot!
